Audio Production Services
I have over 20 years experience in setting up and operating sound systems
for a variety of events. I have written system specifications and supervised
the installation of systems in a variety of settings, including churches,
theaters, auditoriums, and outdoor venues. I have ran sound, built stages
and provided technicians and technical support for a variety of bands and
solo artists, including The Allman Brothers, Judy Collins, Leo Kottke,
Mike Cross, and John Mayall. Most of my work as a soundman has been with
local bluegrass and acoustic acts.
Currently, I am the audio technician for Mountain Home Music. This is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the music of the Appalachian region. MHM does series of 22 concerts per year at area venues. I provide sound reinforcement and record each performance using Pro Tools software on a laptop computer. I also am working to produce these recordings for future sale in CD format.
I own a small sound system suitable for events of 100 people or less. Larger systems can be rented from area providers.
My fees for audio services start at $100 and go up depending on technical requirements, venue size and location, travel time, etc.
